It's definitely not a bad game, by any means, but it does nonetheless have a number of issues that need improvement/fixing/tweaking, such as smoother camera movement, more customization in the controls, and clarity as to how you're faring against bosses. Love the design of the protagonist too. She's pretty awesome.. The game has a LOT of potential. But for right this very moment, that's all it is. There is barely a game here. It's essentially a demo.If you want any kind of worthwhile experience, or content, I suggest holding off for now. Once there are some substantial updates I'll update my review.. Beautiful animations and lovely music and the controls are very intuitive despite the button mapping being a little different than I'm used to. I had a little trouble at first finding out how to progress after receiving the gun until randomly firing at the ceiling and floors revealed the way forward (or I should say down in that instance). Once I found it I noticed things like that object being rare on ceilings and the map being open but it took longer to click than I would care to admit. All in all, I'm super excited to see this grow as I'm a huge fan of this genre and of the look and feel of this game already. More please!. When I tried to punch the bees, I took damage. The multiplayer system isn't very good in this game, the bunny friends (I presume that's how you appear to other players) I found just return to their default position after I leave the screen. I tried to punch the trees but they wouldn't break so I couldn't create a Crafting Table. The blaster didn't help either. Limiting us to only three worlds is also somewhat annoying saying that I'd have to delete another one if I wanted to create something neater. Every world I created also had rain and seemed to have the same seed, with no commands to try to toggle downfall. I feel like these are necessary changes that need to be fixed, not sure if you can even call this Minecraft anymore. Devs have completely ruined it.. Lovely art overall.Animations are satisfyingCharacter design is greatWorld looks interestingMusic sets the right atmosphereOnly real gripe is the aiming for the pistol, feels really stiff. Kinda hard to practially move around while actually hitting anything. This does follow classic games of its ilk and is easy enough to get used to, but a little more precision aiming would feel nicer IMO.. Quite the promising looking Metroidvania. It's definitely not a bad game, by any means, but it does nonetheless have a number of issues that need improvement\/fixing\/tweaking, such as smoother camera movement, more customization in the controls, and clarity as to how you're faring against bosses. Game shows promise.Kinda annoyed at the controls though. Not enough customization, too rigid. I'm used to playing metroid when it comes to this playstyle.(Shoot = X\/Square, Jump = A\/X, Run\/Dash = B\/Circle, Special(bomb) = Y\/Triangle)(Or in Snes terms, Y = Shoot, B = Jump, A = Run, X\/Select = Switch weapons\/utilities)(also, R\/L being aim up\/down, not Hold a trigger to choose your aiming direction while holding still {though that would be correct for the GBA versions})So aside from control difficulties due to (my opinion) strange button choices, I'm liking it. Keep it up! :D. Basically this game is brilliant, even at early access. It trully follow in the spirit of metroid, and if Samus ever did end up without her power armor this is how she would be.I cannot wait for the title to be done.
